Crime

I think that Calgary is relatively safe.  When I walked the city of Calgary, I noticed that the city is organized in a grid form. A prospect improves by making this grill form. In short, it comes to have high security nature. Also, I notice Canadian say to people, "Thank you." For example, when they get off the bus, they say to bus driver, "Thank you." And when they open the door, they keep opening a door as much as possible for the next person. Next people say, "Thank you." This is always evidence that the thinking of others. So, I think Canadian is so kind.
The British magazine Economist announced world secure cities rankings in 2015. According to it, It is first place Tokyo, second place Singapore, third place Osaka. The standard is "cyber security","medical care, healthy environmental safety","safety of the infrastructure" and "personal safety".Tokyo and Osaka is Japan. Right is Tokyo. Left is Osaka. I'm from Osaka. But I moved to go to the university in Tokyo two years ago. When I came to Tokyo, I felt that Tokyo were indifferent and impassive. In contrast, Osaka people is so kind. This is the same as the Canadian. Osaka people say to people, "Thank you." Tokyo people don't say it when they ride on the bus. Also, they don't keep opening a door. They're not so kind. Fanally, if I acquire a ranking, it's first place Osaka, second place Calgary, third place Tokyo.

  1. I agree that Canadians are generally polite and kind. Actually, saying 'thank you' to the bus driver is mostly a Calgary thing. I'm from Ontario, and we usually don't do it there!

    1. Jeff, thank you for the reply and correction. In Ontario, the people don't say "Thank you!" I was surprised at that! I think that it's different from in the region. And I think that there is a culture of the region. It's associated with "Thank you." Osaka is a city of merchants from the old days. On the other hand, Tokyo was the town of samurai. Also, Capital of Japan is Tokyo from 1603. Tokyo is east side. Osaka is west side. Canada was born in the 17th century and it became independent from Britain in 1931. Capital of Canada is west side. Calgary is east side. Japan and Canada are close year that could capital. And capital is either both the east side. Coincidentally... Capital of establishment location has factors in each. However, I thought it was interesting this. And I think. There is identity that cannot be seen to. East and west of the difference. On the east of the capital, under the west of the region. In the past, capital of high human and rich of identification only almost uninhabitable. Others were relegated to the west. I guess that the east side of the people don't say "Thank you" is this identity is one of the factors of the old days.

  2. Calgary is a safety place and people are very kind. I think so, too. Tokyo is the most safety place? I didn't know that! That's interesting.
